Hobiennale 2017

TMAG is a partner venue for HOBIENNALE 2017 (or HB17 for short), a new festival bringing together artist-run initiatives and emerging artists from across Australia and New Zealand.

On show at TMAG will be the work of Melbourne-based Japanese artist Makiko Yamamoto curated by Bus Projects (Victoria). Makiko's practice examines the voice as a material and it's potential as a medium in contemporary art.

TMAG and HOBIENNALE will also present a late night event in the TMAG Courtyard on Saturday, 4 November from 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm with performances by Scott Cotterell, Andrew Harper, Sally-Ann McIntyre, Brendan Walls and Philomath. These sound artists will respond to archival and museum sounds.

For more details on the festival, please visit the HB17 website.
