Lunch-time films

Since invasion, Aboriginal people have fought for respect for their culture and rights to their lands. In these lunch-time film sessions learn more about Aboriginal connection to Country, past successes and the continued fight for the protection of culture and Country.

1997…citizens at last?: produced by Timeframe Series (ABC).
Australians vote to give the country’s original inhabitants full rights – the end of one battle which has been fought since the first days of
settlement, and the start of another that continues past Mabo.

Followed by Charles Perkins, Aboriginal Activist: produced by the ABC, this film documents the life of an influential Aboriginal, who was integral in the 1965 Freedom Rides and the 1967 Referendum.
