Outreach programs bring high-quality art and museum education opportunities to schools and community groups facing barriers visiting the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart. These programs are tailored to the needs and interest of each audience group and eligibility criteria apply.

Current program streams are limited to: live virtual tours and loan boxes, Make your Mark youth art projects and professional enrichment for teachers. See the relevant sections elsewhere in this website for details. We are currently unable to undertake other school or community visits.

Make Your Mark: Home

The fourth iteration of a powerful state-wide youth art project. Delivered in partnership with local councils around Tasmania, this program places professional artists in communities where they support youth 13-21 years explore social issues through contemporary art.

TMAG is currently calling for expressions of interest from artists to lead youth workshops in 3D and sculptural media. Download full information and EOI form here (MS Word).
